Hmmm, losses yesterday snapped a 6 year streak of the NVL producing at least one state champion.
Not too bad for an "over-rated" league.
i think its amazing when people say the NVL is the weakest league in the state when almost every single year the NVL produces one, if not two state champs. Rocky Hill was 10-1 before they played Seymour and Seymour had their JV's in the game for almost the entire 4th quarter...haha

I think you are going to see alot of teams with no OOC game if the league makes them stick to a week one open date. I know on the CIAC website noone besides NVL have open dates week 1.

I think I see a 5-5 record on this one...With a realistic opportunity to be 7-3, if the pieces fall. But 8-2 is not quite as realistic.

2 question's for you Boss and I am not trying to argue but 1) who will HC lose to in that prediction? 2) how come they don't play Sey if the schedule is based on a 2 year power ranking?

Holy Cross needs to get back to the basics in order to have any chance at a decent season. they got pushed around and seemed to lack toughness

Cross ended the season winning four of five. They return most of their linemen and their whole backfield. This year they need to put some points on the board. The defense was good enough to win games but they couldn't score enough. If they do, they could be tough.
St. Paul should be decent too. They have a great coach in Jude Kelly.

Yes Kyle - back to the 10 game schedule which allows JC to once again schedule a dodge for HC. Last time it was Ansonia...this time it is Seymour. With 91 kids on the roster and putting Wilby in for their out of league game - it's the biggest pussy factory going. Don't think the NVL coaches don't know how it works.

not for nothing but when torrington suprises alot of people dont let me be ther person who said it was going to happen. No team right now is working as much in conditioning and lifting. Another point i have to get across is that i truly feel that Torrington possibly has the most solid line in the whole copper division(i've seen kids from other football teams and the torrington line looks alot bigger and stronger than they do). I'm not saying that HC is not the best team in the copper, but alot of people dont understand that Torrington is really a solid program with a very good coach. I truly feel that we have a great shot at suprising many and stealing the copper division and giving any team brass divisional winner a run for their money at the title game.
