Right now Seymour sits on top of the league as the team to beat. No one has been able to do it yet, including the great Crosby Bulldogs. Ansonia must still be wondering what he heck happened. As good as Crosby is, very few of us really that they would win that game. But, because they did, I think this week is even more interesting than it would have been.
Seymour @ Ansonia - You have to think it is improbable for Ansonia to lose two in a row. They are not the type of program to go in the tank after an embarrassing loss, so I see them looking to come out and make a statement against the only 9-0 team in the league. Seymour will be looking very hard at the film from last week and investigating exactly how Crosby held them to only 14 points. This is Spoony's final dance and nothing would give him more joy than to beat Ansonia before the music stops. I like Seymour in this game. Not because Ansonia lost last week, but because I believe Seymour is the best team in the league in 2008. It will be close, but not tight. Seymour 35 Ansonia 21.
HC @ Naugy - The Crusaders should win this game. Not because they are playing well or anything like that, but because of the Plasky factor. Rumor has it this guy is telling people he wants to coach college football, COULD YOU IMAGINE. Cross by 20.
Watertown @ Wolcott - Watertown takes this one, want to know why? Wolcott posted on their website that this is their first seven win season since the 80's. That is the type of thing that lesser programs settle for and brag about. Look for the Eagles to lose their last two, miss the playoffs and have a 7 win moral victory parade. Indians 40 Eagles 28
Woodland @ Kennedy - Wow, championship at stake. Let me repeat, championship at stake. Who'd a guessed these two teams would playing for a shot at the NVL Title. Because I am not a big fan of the NVL Title Game, I'm going with Woodland on this one, so that the WRHS vs. SHS Thanksgiving Eve game doubles as the championship. Woodland 28 Kennedy 20.
Wilby @ Crosby - Unless Crosby's starting offense oversleeps, I'll take the Bulldogs 49 - 12.
Torrington @ S.H. - The Red Raiders should win this game and SH has to win at least one, right? Well I don't think THS will hold on in this one. The Hearts will come up with a win, finally. SH 20 THS 19.
Now let me know how way off base I am, please.

Some well matched teams this week.
Ansonia won't lose 2 in a row - much as I like the grit of the Seymour squad, Ansonia will not be denied.
Torrington over SH - too much for the Hearts to handle. Torrington will be a force for years to come. Good first year showing.
Naugy and Holy Cross play to a draw - this is a pick 'em with an advantage to Cross due to that Naugy offensive scheme...although HC's top runner only had 75 yards against SH.
Wolcott over H2OTown - Eagles are in their 2nd year of a new program after 20 years of being a 'lesser program' - a close, physical game. They can put whatever they want on their site...they bring the wood.
I favor Kennedy over Woodland - Kennedy's been consistent, Woodland not. IDK about Kennedy injuries, but hear a lot about Woodland's. Another close and physical game.
Crosby may play poorly coming off the big win but will have too many weapons for Wilby...esp. in the Dog Pound.
I think the Ansonia and Kennedy games will have the most points scored.
We have changed our broadcast schedule this week. Instead of Naugatuck - Holy Cross we'll air Kennedy - Woodland.
I think it's a good move Voyce. Good job.
100% of the voters taking Osiecki. No one takes Roberts??
Voice - is there an email address you can provide? I have a question for you. thx

Nice job by Ansonia!
Now, let's see if history is made tonight in Waterbury.
Congrats to Kennedy. Voice is right about that offensive scheme. It can work.
