Seymour v Woodland - This is one of the better rivarly games on Turkey Day. These two teams have found a strong dislike for eachother in a short time. Seymour should come out on top, if they don't take them to lightly.
SH v Wilby - The hearts finish winless in 08.
HC v Wolcott - I like this as my upset special. Wolcott should win easily, but I like HC playing at home.
Watertown v Torrington - The Raiders win this one, sending the message for next year.
Crosby v Kennedy - Believe it or not I think Kennedy gives them a hell of a game. I'll take Crosby in a squeaker.
Ansonia v Naugy - Plasky coaches his but off in this one, doing everything he knows how, and only losing by 40.

I got all but one prediction right this week. I thought Wilby would pull it off. Congrats to the Hearts.
I saw the Woodland/Seymour game last night, good crowd. I know Osiecki is a good player, but I was not impressed with his playing last night. # 10 for Woodland, a sophomore, ran all over Seymour's defense. I think he had like 150 yards rushing. Defensively, he caused problems for Osiecki all night. This kid is half Osiecki's size and he was tuning him up. If Reid plays for New London, Seymour will be in for a long night, assuming the Cats make it that far.
I saw a little bit of the Ansonia/Naugy game. It looked like the Chargers did as little as possible just to get the win. Some people there felt like Naugy was playing well, but I think it was because Ansonia was playing a lot of backups. Did you guys see Plasky's comment in a local newspaper? He basically sounded like the biggest quitter in HS Football history. His players must have been real upset with him. He said the game shouldn't even be played.
How about those Wolcott Eagles. You guys knocked me when I commented on them posting their seventhe win as historic, but I told you they were complacent with just doing OK. If they weren't then they would have beaten a BAD Holly Cross team. Rumor has it, that for the last couple weeks Russo and his D-Coordinator are experiencing a little trouble in paradise. I hear it's a real ego issue. I wonder if this had anything to do with choking against HC. I guess a real playoof team would have figured it out. It's unfortunate for the players.
Mikey O def. had an off night for sure. Possibly banged up a bit? I also give Woody tons of credit for doing what most teams didnt do to Osieski all year and tackled him around the ankles.
wolcott choked it up big time. and chance to make the playoffs and lose to holy cross? wow.
Neither of those teams deserve to be in the playoffs.
