Welcome Football Fans!!!

Welcome to the blog that lets you talk football all you want, all the time. No more old man suffering from dementia telling you about his day at the senior center. No more one sided opinions about bad teams. I could care less if your school is private or public. I just want to talk football without having to cut through the envious fat first. Tell your friends "It's time to talk football."

OK, nuff said about that. Week 4, in my opinion, brought us no surprises. I would like to start with the Watertown - Holy Cross game. Watertown handed Holy Cross their third loss of the season with a score of 28-6. I wasn't at the game, but I heard from others that Watertown handled HC pretty easily in all facets of the game. I think it is fair to say that the "fortunate" years of Mulrooney are gone and like before them, won't be back for a long time. Let's be honest, HC has never been a perennial power and never will be. Watertow, while always a sound team at best, is certainly enjoying a year of average teams in the NVL.

Ansonia started a little slow last night against Woodland, who scored first in this one, but eventually pulled away and did not allow Woodland another score. Ansonia is a good team, but they are not remotely reminiscent of the past two seasons. This team can be beat and with teams like Seymour and Crosby performing the way they are, Ansonia might be de-throwned this year. Woodland is still having trouble getting their offense going. They scored pretty easily in the first quarter and never really got anything else going. What is in the future for the Hawks?

Another game I found amusement in is the Seymour - Naugy game. Can someone please tell me why Plasky is still the coach. This is an L school losing teams with half the athlete pool and finding their only win against Kennedy IN OVERTIME. Seymour was supposed to be down after last year, but it looks to me like Oscieki is putting this team on his back and making a real run for it.

Crosby pounded Sacred Heart. I don't mean this as a dig, but I need some of you Crosby guys to let me know if this team is for real or if the record is only indicative of the teams they've played thus far. Sacred Heart is awful.

The last game I'm going to comment on is Wolcott - Kennedy. I really believe that Wolcott's record of 3-1 is not any major accomplishment yet. The only team they've played is Seymour and the Wildcats showed the Eagles that They are not ready for big games.

I will leave the rest of the games open for your comments as well as what I have already jotted down here. I hope to see you all posting here soon. GO NVL!!

Thanks for stopping by Voice. The NVL deserves the attention and a site dedicated to football talk only. Hope to see you again.

Be a pleasure Peerless. Look forward to some good info shared here.
Crosby get its chance this week to show what they have. Ought to be a pretty good game at Jimmy Lee.

Thanks for opening this blog. I felt like I was out of the loop for the past week or so. Good luck, and I'll be dropping by often.

Thanks for the loyalty guys.

"Boss here putting in a cameo appearance. Blogs by definition are the thoughts, musings, ramblings of ONE person...that is a blog...Birds Nest is a message board....everybody jumps into the act...a blog is one person's thoughts...I allowed people to respond to me and after 1,000s of posts I think I censored three or four, mostly due to personal attacks not on me, but my family. First and ten doesn''t have the balls to do what I did, put his name on the thing so people can judge where he is coming from" End of sermon...see ya fellas I'm still around and kicking.

Don't worry Boss, I 'll keep your posts up. Call me a coward if you want, that's fine. Fact of the matter is that we just want to talk football. By keeping my identity out of it, I am eliminating the bias that made your blog so unbearable. Here we will all be known as the same thing, fans just wanting to talk football. Good luck to you.

Under the bus? Whaaaa?

Anyway.....Seymour-Naugy JV game was not played on Saturday morning, I'm told it was Seymour who forefeited. Anyone know why?

I think it had something to do with SAT's.

Boss was totally off the reservation and should be institutionalized. And if you hadn't noticed, he didn't know a thing about football either.

Voyce take it off line...you guys amuse me I must admit.
